Equity in research for health

The EDCTP Forum is a biennial event that provides an international platform for the presentation and discussion of cutting-edge research addressing the burden of poverty-related infectious diseases in sub-Saharan Africa and the capacity development and networking activities that support this goal.

The EDCTP Forum attracts a diverse audience, including representatives from research institutions and universities, the larger scientific community, health care providers, governments, regional bodies, regulators, civil society, and public and private research and development partners.

In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Tenth EDCTP Forum will take place virtually from 17-21 October 2021, with in-person Opening and Closing sessions at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre (JICC) in Maputo, Mozambique. The Tenth EDCTP Forum is hosted by the National Institute of Health (INS), Mozambique and the Health Research Centre of Manhiça (CISM).

All EDCTP Forum sessions and networking opportunities will be accessible virtually via our online conferencing platform. More information on the virtual platform will be provided for registered participants.

The multidisciplinary nature of the Forum attracts around 600 representatives from different regions and research fields, providing an excellent opportunity for networking. You will be able to share experiences, highlight key activities of your institution, organisation, or company, and promote new initiatives to a select audience while contributing to EDCTP’s mission and conference goals.
