The Forum programme will be crafted around the theme Partnering for Global Health Research Innovation and Impact in Africa - Celebrating EDCTP: two decades and beyond. At this Forum we will be reflecting on the achievements, impact, and challenges of the past 20 years of EDCTP, whilst looking forward to opportunities under the Global Health EDCTP3 programme. 

The Eleventh EDCTP Forum will be held in a hybrid way, with the possibility to attend the full programme online, with a selection of sessions available online.

The Forum programme will run from Tuesday 7 to Friday 10 November 2023 and comprise the following sessions:

  • Plenary presentations by leading international scientists and policy makers
  • Parallel sessions organised according to thematic areas:
  • Posters selected from submitted abstracts
  • Scientific symposia organised by external delegates, selected from submitted abstracts
  • Sponsored satellite sessions and workshops organised by partners
  • Prize-giving sessions 
  • ‘Meet the expert’ sessions for junior researchers to interact informally with senior researchers
  • Debate and panel sessions.

A day before the main Forum programme, on Tuesday 7 November 2023, the official opening ceremony and welcome cocktail will take place.

The Eleventh EDCTP Forum is hosted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of France and ANRS | Emerging Infectious Diseases, 

and will be jointly supported by the second EDCTP programme (EDCTP2) and the Global Health EDCTP3 Joint Undertaking.
